I love this time of year. The daffodils are blooming, forsythia are popping back to life with their brilliant yellow blossoms. Also, traffic at wineries and breweries is picking up as the days start getting warmer. The uptick in folks' interest in local wineries and breweries is clear. Even my little town of Boones Mill now has its very own brewery! check it out here: Hammer and Forge Brewing Co.
All that to say that I am looking forward to spending time on weekend afternoons at some great wineries and breweries this spring and summer. Check out Beliveau Estate's upcoming "Prime Time Wine Series" on March 18. They've invited two other Virginia wineries for an afternoon of tastings... and I'll be there from 2 until 5 doing my thing. I hope I'll see you there.
